Demineralized Whey Powder 90% (D90)

1. General description and application

Demineralized Whey Powder (90%) is obtained through spray-drying of cheese whey, a byproduct of cheese production, using modern demineralization technologies.

It is mainly applied in infant formulas and baby food, providing safe and balanced nutrition.

2. Product characteristics

It is a yellowish powder, free-flowing and highly soluble in water.

Flavor and odor are clean, with no off-notes different from whey.

3. Composition and storage

Per 100 g it provides 1700 kJ of energy, 11–13 g protein, ≤1.5% fat and ≤1% ash, with ≤3.0% moisture, insolubility ≤0.5 ml and pH 6.4–7.2. It is free from antibiotics, inhibitors, and pathogens, meeting microbiological standards (Salmonella and E. coli: absent).

Packed in 25 kg industrial bags, with a shelf life of up to 18 months when stored sealed, in a cool (20–25 °C), dry, dark place with ≤65% relative humidity.
